FIF Golf Invitational Logo and Layout

Displayed here are layouts, a rough draft and final logo work for the First Insurance Invitational in early 2011. This was a collaborative effort between three members of the Wintrust e-marketing team including myself. First Insurance required an invitation and working page on short notice and the Invitational site was delivered promptly. I acted as concept artist and logo designer while two others finalized the layout and built the back end. A simple yet attractive site– a job well done.

UGA Brochure and Branding

Some design and branding work done for the Upland Gundog Association in Lindhurst, IL. All office collateral, UGA marks and branding work represent a classic feel in order to connect the viewer with the storied gundog tradition in land and waterfowl hunting. Say hello at uplandgundog.com.

Commercial Banking Billboards

Billboards on I290 leaving Chicago, Illinois. The Burma-Shave-style boards were a collaborative effort by the Wintrust commercial marketing team where I took on the roles of concept artist, art director and lead designer. Storyboard and concept were the product of the other members of our commercial team. All artwork was hand sketched and vectorized then later animated for commercial publications. The campaign design was later used for the Chicago Cub’s Panasonic display animation at Wrigley Field.

Hometown Advantage™

Pitch work for a retail banking program in Illinois titled Hometown Advantage. Previewed here is artwork for branding, an icon set, and a mobile application. All work is hand drawn and later vectorized.

The Iowa Football Club

All work displayed was created for the Iowa Football Club, a group of former athletic greats at the University of Iowa who do philanthropic work in the community. Each mark was inspired by classic letterman’s patches and vintage collegiate logo work along with European football club logos.

Columbia University – Physical Therapy

Work I donated to Columbia University’s Physical Therapy program. The CPT mark is designed for all apparel, student government collateral, and supplies.

Logo work for hairtwin.com, a review site for women’s hair products. All work was hand drawn and vectorized.

Logo pitch work for Israel based insurance network, IDsurance.

Ray Rodrigues

Logo pitch-work for Ray Rodrigues, a nominee for House Representative of district 75 in Florida. All logo work was designed for campaign apparel, letterhead, posters, and personalized stamps in mind.

The Shuttle

To commemorate the newly retired space shuttle fleet, I created this commission work in honor of NASA and some of its pivotal accomplishments in U.S. history. All artwork is hand illustrated and vectorized.

Corporate Banking Illustration

Sometimes stock imagery won’t cut it. That’s where I come in. All work in this section is custom vector illustration done for retail and commercial banking used in a variety of media. All is hand drawn and vectorized for clean digital printing and posting.

Gyrene Burger

This is a pitch that a partner and I made to a fast food chain in Florida. While the vector character is still in the works, the rest of the work went in a separate direction under the owners orders. The character and word mark are inspired by 1940s propaganda posters as well as classic military stencil work. All work is hand illustrated and then vecorized.

Wintrust Financial 2010 Annual Report

At the height of the financial crisis, many banks across the country were struggling for their very existence. Luckily for many of us with no alternative financial options, some banks were willing to fight through the worst and remain available to their local markets. The illustration done here was for one of these banks, a bank that held its core values close and provided the public with an honest option. All work done here for Wintrust’s 2010 Annual Report is hand sketched and vectorized for the cleanest results.
